All marchers, guests, volunteers, staff and visitors must be fully inoculated* for COVID-19 to participate in the 2022 Bataan Memorial Death March.

*Inoculation is defined as two weeks past the final dose of a one or two-dose treatment.

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, and staff is our top priority and all attendees will be required to adhere to specific COVID-19 guidelines. In an effort to minimize the spread of coronavirus during the Bataan Memorial Death March, all attendees and participants must be fully inoculated from the COVID-19 virus. Proof of vaccination must be the original paper copy and participants must show their personal photo ID with such proof at the Las Cruces Convention Center during Packet Pick-Up. Individuals unable to provide proof of full vaccination will not be allowed to pick up their Marcher packets or participate in the Bataan Memorial Death March. Upon successful verification of a vaccination record, marchers and guests will receive a bracelet that must be worn at all times in order to access the packet pick up expo, all event activities and White Sands Missile Range.

Masks will be required in all indoor facilities. Participants will not need to wear a mask once they cross the start line, however, masks will be required while in the start line waves or when social distancing cannot be maintained.

For the 2022 march guests will be limited to a max of four people per paid participant. Spectators will not be allowed to enter White Sands Missile Range unless they are a guest of a paid marcher or by special arrangement with the Bataan Memorial Death March staff. All guests who meet the age requirements to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be required to show proof of vaccination. Children who are not old enough to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be required to wear a mask indoors and when social distancing cannot be maintained.

Accessing White Sands Missile Range:

Non-ID card holders will be allowed access to White Sands Missile Range only after they have provided proof of vaccination status and received their marcher packet from the Las Cruces Convention Center. Vaccinations ID bracelets will be required to be worn by all marchers and guests in order to gain entry to the Installation.

We are working with our city, state, and federal partners to plan a safe and memorable event and we recognize that health guidelines may change between now and March of 2022. We will continue to keep our Bataan Memorial Death March community updated if requirements change.
