The Bataan Memorial Death March has been CANCELLED
Out of an abundance of caution, the U.S. Army made the decision to cancel this year’s Bataan Memorial Death March scheduled for March 15, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 threat.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through the process of an orderly drawdown of the Bataan Memorial Death March.
Because of the global impact of COVID-19, the cancellation of the 31st Annual Bataan Death March is considered a worldwide medical emergency. Therefore, we will be issuing full refunds of the registration fee. We are currently working through the process and will provide follow up information and/or instructions as needed to the email address you registered with. Please be patient as we don’t yet have an estimation on dates of when to expect refunds. We will not defer registrations to next year’s march.
We will not be issuing any marcher packets, bags, or shirts by mail or in person. Nor will merchandise be available for purchase at this time.
We thank you for the outpouring of support and encouragement, and we look forward to seeing you on 21 March 2021 for the 32d Annual Bataan Memorial Death March!
Registration set to begin 1 October 2020!
Official press releases are below.
26 MILES OF HIGH DESERT, 26 MILES OF PURE PERSEVERANCE
The Bataan Memorial Death March is a challenging march through the high desert terrain of the White Sands Missile Range. The memorial march is conducted in honor of the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II, sacrificing their freedom, health, and, in many cases, their very lives.
